Evening Primrose Oil contains seeds that are one of the richest sources of gamma-linoleic acid (GLA). GLA is an essential fatty acid that is necessary for normal body function.

(Oenothera biennis) Evening Primrose Oil is used for premenstrual conditions such as irritability, breast tenderness and bloating. It is suggested that a minimum of 3% of the daily caloric intake of healthy adults should be derived from essential fatty acids like Cis-Linoleic Acid and Gamma-Linolenic Acid which perform many vital functions and are necessary for proper cellular metabolism.† Called Evening Primrose because its light yellow flowers open at dusk, this wildflower grows in North America and Europe. Although the plant has long been used for medicinal purposes, the use of its seed oil, which contains gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), is relatively recent.
